COLBY -- Kansas State University recently recognized ¹ú²úAV Transfer and Advising Specialist Jade Inlow for her work with CCC transfer students.

In the Fireside Lounge on ¹ú²úAV's campus, KSU representatives presented Inlow with the Transfer Partner Educator's Choice Award at a surprise ceremony with CCC coworkers.

"Helping students navigate the transfer process and prepare for their future career is such a fun and rewarding process to be a part of," she said.

Inlow was nominated by a member of the K-State community for her dedication to the success of transfer students. As the recipient, Inlow will receive funding to attend K-State's 2024 Transfer Summit in Manhattan as well as a $1,000 educator choice scholarship award to be given to a CCC student planning to transfer to K-State.

"Jade is an incredible resource to have at ¹ú²úAV," Inlow's nominator said. "Every time I am there, she never fails to show kindness and comes to find me to see how I am doing. She makes sure to be informed of any updates with K-State that can help her better serve her students. Jade is very proactive in reaching out when questions arise with transferring and is always looking for opportunities to partner with K-State."

Inlow is in her sixth year as the transfer and advising specialist in Student Support Services, a grant-funded program that serves students who are either first-generation (neither parent holds a bachelor's degree), meet federal income guidelines, or have a documented learning or physical disability. Previously, she served two years in the financial aid office.

Her bachelor's degree in business administration is from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, and she obtained a master's in business education from Emporia State University. Outside of work, she enjoys rodeo competition in barrel racing and breakaway roping events.
